Beginning after Easter the rules for dress at Heights are to be changed by order of Miss Wallace.
According to the new rules any girl who does not have her stockings rolled will be sent home. Medical authorities have discovered that rolled stockings are very healthful, comfortable and practical, while art critics admit them to be more beautiful. Powder and rouge have been discovered to be the best protection for the skin against the weather. Hereafter the use of these commodities at Heights will be encouraged.
It will be required that sleeves be above the elbow, and dresses of such course material as flannel, serge or jersey will be barred. High heeled pumps of colored satin are to be recommended for general wear.
Miss Wallace feels that in making these sweeping changes she has done much to benefit the girls of the school. "As soon as possible," she said, "I should like to see every girl have a vanity case of her own. I also urge her to use it frequently, in the classroom and halls. I feel that this will greatly improve the looks of our girls."
Miss Wallace added that if there was anything that she abhored it was a clean white middy. "Such things are proper only in the home," she stated. April Fool!!
