Cleveland Heights High School Newspaper Retrospective

Black & Gold June 9, 1964

B & G opens fiftieth volume
nine issues to cover all news

Fifty volumes and still the story is not finished, the tale not fully told.
Although the Black and Gold has opened its fiftieth volume and reached its Golden year, it still has much to tell about Heights. In fact, as events unfold, the story of Heights is really just beginning.

This Golden Year represents an important period, not only for the B & G, but for the entire school as well. A new administration and football coach, revitalized class and student councils promise exciting newsworthy events in the future.

The B & G will be able to bring you that news and bring it to you better, with nine issues instead of the usual eight, at no extra cost.

Not content to rest on a half-century of laurels, this newspaper is a record of the here and now, and that's why it will publish an extra issue.

So be a part of this Golden Year. You won't want to miss the bright, new Heights High. And you won't miss it, when you subscribe to the Black and Gold. Make your homeroom one hundred per cent!
