General World War I Sites
  The Great War after 80 Years. The British Broadcasting Company produced this site in 1998, to marks the 80 anniversity of the end of World War I. Although the site is somewhat confusing to navigate, it offers a comprehensive overiew of the conflict that took a toatl of 10 million lives. Archived radio interviews, images newsreels, letters from the front and analyses of events are all here, including the examinatin of a number of major battes.
  World Wide Web Virtual Library: 1910-1920     An index of sites from the decade of the 1910's
  The Great War: 80 Years Later. This site, produced by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) News to mark the 80th anniversity of the end of World War I. There are archived radio interviews, images and newsreeels, letters from the front, and analysis of events. A number of battles are examined in detail.
  Encyclopedia of the First World War. A thorough and detailed overview of World War I from the Spartacus Internet encyclopedia. Included are section on life in the trenches, major battles, wwomen and the war, the air war, inventors, the home front, and war artists, posts and writers.
  The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century. The PBSsite which looks at the political and military history of World War I, with interviews with a number of World War I historians, interactive timeline and maps, and a bibliography for further research.

Art of the First World War. Response to the conflicts among combatant nations in World War I came from cultural and artistic sections of society. This site presents an online exhibition of the responses to the Great War by artists of every nationality and school of painting.
