| 1. | Prepare
to demonstrate your understanding of the two books when you return to school.
Both books must be read by Wednesday, September 3,
2008. An essay, a creative project, a presentation and/or a test may be assigned for both books. |

| 2. | Complete the Parent/Guardian Evaluation Form for one of the books that you have selected. The form will be collected on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Please note: This is a Microsoft Word document. | |||
| 3. | Use the Cornell notes to take notes on your reading of the books. The notes will not be collected; however, you will be able to use the notes for any assessments that are assigned. | |||
| Remember to read both books! The Summer Reading assignments will be worth at least 10% of your first marking period grade. | ||||
