P.R.I.D.E. School News

  • Freshman Orientation for first time 9th graders in the PRIDE School will be held on Friday, August 20th, 2010 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm at CHHS in the South Gym. Students will be working with trained Juniors and Seniors to become familiar with their schedule, the layout of the building and extra-curricular activities that are available at CHHS. ID pictures will be taken at this time. Lunch will be provided for all incoming 9th grade students who attend orientation. Please encourage incoming 9th graders to attend. It is not necessary for them to bring anything to orientation day except their questions and their enthusiasm for the start of the 2010-2011 school year!

  • The 2010-2011 school year will begin for all students on August 31, 2010. Students must report to their assigned classroom by 8:30 am.

  • Students and Parents are reminded that the school day at Cleveland Heights High School begins at 8:30 am! Students arriving to their classroom after 8:30 am are tardy! Let's begin the 2010-2011 school year by having all students be Prompt, Prepared and Polite!

P.R.I.D.E. Student of the Month

Students of P.R.I.D.E that have increased their academic performance, demonstrated responsible, mature characteristics, or have exhibited a positive attitude that contributes to their success or the success of others can be nominated for the P.R.I.D.E. Student of the Month. Any adult at CHHS can nominate a P.R.I.D.E. student by completing the nomination form and submitting it to PRIDE Principal, Mr. Nohra. Students who are selected as P.R.I.D.E. student of the month will be featured in a short video segment produced by P.R.I.D.E.'s TV Production Course and then will be honored with a lunch with the P.R.I.D.E. School Principal, Mr. Nohra. All students nominated for this monthly award will receive a certificate, letting them know which adult nominated them and why that adult thought they were deserving of the Student of the Month honor.
