Cafeteria Staff

The breakfast program is open to all students. Breakfast begins serving at 7:30 A.M. Students enter through the doorway in the courtyard between the music wing and the auditorium. Students must remain in the cafeteria. They cannot take food and leave. They remain in the cafeteria until the bell rings at 8:05 A.M. At that point, they report to homeroom.

The lunch program has six lunch times which vary by grade level and team. Students at Roxboro have 21 minutes for lunch. They can purchase lunch for $2.50 and this is the special of the day. There is a link below which identifies the special of the day. Students depending on the special will be allowed four or five items with the special. Students may also purchase items a-la carte (see list below). They can bundle a-la carte items* (no less than three) for the lunch special price. Otherwise, prices are as they are listed below on the ala carte menu. Ala carte items are offered everyday. *French fries cannot be bundled as part of a lunch. French fries are a-la carte only.

Students can pay with cash or parents can pre-pay for their child's meals. Parents would send a check in with their student. When the student arrives at school, he/she checks into homeroom and then asks for a pass to the cafeteria. They then give the envelope to Mrs. Bantum, the cafeteria manager, and she places the money into their computer account. Parents can place money into a breakfast/lunch account-which only allows the student to purchase a meal or they can place money on account-which allows the student the ability to purchase ala carte items. A note of caution here-a student can then, theoretically, spend all the money the parent placed in the account on one day if it is placed on account rather than into the lunch account. The students will be notified when their account is low and they can then relay that information back home to the parents.
