CHESS CLUB
Chess club is an after school activity sponsored by Roxboro
Middle School.
The club is open to all students (grades 6-7-8) of Roxboro Middle School.
There are three goals for this club: 1)To learn how to play the game and its stragegies, 2) To increase one's skills of the game , 3) To offer an opportunity for students to play each other in tournament conditions.
The club meets every Tuesday in Room
115 from 2:45 until 3:30.* *Time yet to be determined for the 07-08 school
year.
Students are expected to remain for the whole period if they come. Students
do not have to come every week to be part of the club.
Roxboro's Chess Club advisor is Mr. Maier, 7th grade Science teacher.
