FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA (FTA)
Requirements of Membership:
Interest in the further study in the field of education and a desire to be
a teacher. This is open to any Roxboro student-6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Club
is also open to students who have an interest in tutoring other students,
not just those students who desire to become a teacher.
Time Commitment:
Twice per month, usually every other Wednesday in room 104 from 3:30 to 4:00
p.m. Additional time will be devoted to FTA as volunteer opportunities become
available. In the past, Roxboro Middle students have tutored at Roxboro Elementary.
Activity Highlights:
Participants will work with elementary students and middle school teachers,
volunteering in a variety of educational settings.
