What is RoxArts? It is the Roxboro Enrichment Art Program (formerly known as REAP). We are a non-profit group of parents that raises funds to bring additional art education to Roxboro Elementary and Middle Schools. Each school receives approximately $8500 a year. These funds are used to bring artists into the classroom for artist residencies or all school performances. The middle school students will attend performances at the Cleveland Playhouse including: Gershwin, Tuck Everlasting and Anne Frank. The middle school will also host another exciting jazz week. Every grade will have a special activity.

HAVE AN ITEM TO DONATE? Or other questions, please call Chesca Hadden at 932-7169.
RoxArts is also soliciting items for the auctions. These can be almost anything. If you have a business, you could offer an hour of work (i.e. a plumber donates an hour of work) or donates an aspect of the business’s service (i.e. maid service, closet organization, window cleaning ,etc.) Besides donating for a great cause, your business receives publicity to expand your current clientele. Please consider donating- contact Chesca Hadden at 932-7169.
The REAP/RoxArts benefit is for everybody and
anybody.

school. I think that is one of the
biggest misperceptions about this event.
Yes, there are the “big-ticket” items that generate a good amount of
money for the schools, but the vast majority of items/services are really inexpensive
and reasonably priced. The evening is a
fund-raiser yes, but it is also an opportunity to meet and socialize with other
